Emtec Building Services have been awarded the Mechanical and Electrical installation contract for the Scottish Qualification Authority's new Midlothian headquarters within Shawfair Park, Edinburgh.
The new linked office development, circa 60,000 sq ft, incorporates the installation of air conditioning, ventilation, dry riser, smoke control, lthw heating, water services, drainage, lighting, data, power, fire alarm, CCTV and access control systems.
Projection is scheduled for completion August 2011.

As part of the new nationwide hub initiative led by the Scottish Futures Trust on behalf of the Scottish Government. Emtec Building Services have been awarded the Mechanical and Electrical installation contract for Drumbrae Library and Community Hub, which is the first project to start on site. The initiative reflects the governments approach for the delivery of new community infrastructure for the next ten years, which is expected to be valued at more than £1 billion.
The 25,000 sq ft community hub is arranged over two storeys, and will incorporate a library, day care centre and adult learning space and will have a BREEAM rating of Excellent.
Projection is scheduled for completion Spring 2012

The exciting new visitor facility is now open at the West Gate of the Edinburgh Garden. The John Hope Gateway, RBGE's new biodiversity and information centre, is a shining example of green construction and sustainability, and sits on the footprint of the former Botanics Shop.

The £18m Coatbridge community hub housing council services, a library, two GP surgeries and two dental practices has been officially opened.
It marks the first in a series of joint ventures between health boards and local authorities toward sharing facilities.
North Lanarkshire Council hope to make efficiencies in their service provision whilst also helping to regenerate the Lanarkshire town.
Situated on a derelict site on the towns High Street the scheme is arranged around a central atrium. Fronting a revitalised public square the Buchanan Centre is designed to integrate with a surrounding pedestrian zone.

The new headquarters building for Scottish Ballet replaces a derelict section of the Tramway on the southside of Glasgow.
The works involved the supply and installation of new ventilation, heating & chilled water pipework, power, lighting, data & air conditioning systems. The building won the award for best new Public Building and the 'Architecture Grand Prix' – the jury's award for the best new building in Scotland for 2010.
